A friendly guide welcomes you to Calgary as you begin your Rockies ski adventure. After being shown to your motor-coach, begin your scenic transfer to the bustling resort town of Banff! The Banff ski resort has a picturesque location that offers the utmost in convenience to the winter adventurer with easy access to three nearby ski areas.
Choose between standard, superior, and deluxe accommodations. All resorts offer great service, comfortable rooms, and convenient access to sightseeing and skiing in order to maximize the enjoyment of your stay.
Tonight, wander the scenic streets of Banff and enjoy its many boutiques and restaurants. Retire early to prepare for tomorrow’s full day of skiing!
Day 2 – Ski Norquay
Enjoy a full day of excellent Banff skiing in the unparalleled beauty of these natural surroundings. Mount Norquay towers over Banff and offers a thrilling experience for skiers of every skill-level, as well as premium snowboarding terrain. Norquay is an excellent choice for families with a wide variety of groomed runs, a well-lit terrain park, and excellent lessons for all ages.
After a day of excitement on the slopes, enjoy the relaxed charms of Banff. There is an abundance of restaurants suited for all palates and ages, and plenty of evening options for a nightcap or two.
Day 3 – Ski Sunshine
Sunshine Village boasts some of the best above tree line skiing of the region, meaning great views for the skiers who enjoy taking the time to drink in the views of mountain vistas and plenty of opportunities for photography.
Wind down tonight in one of Banff’s many enticing restaurants. Having trouble choosing? Our Banff restaurant guide can help you decide which are best for a snack and a pint and which are best for dressing up and sipping a martini.
Day 4 – Norquay or Sunshine
Choose your new favourite or the one you just didn’t have enough time to enjoy in the past two days. Whatever your decision, a day full of flying down the slopes lays ahead.
After an afternoon on the hills consider descending back to Calgary for a true Canadian experience. If there is one sport that Canada takes more seriously than skiing, it’s hockey. Join the excited crowds flocking to tonight’s Calgary Flames hockey game at Calgary’s Saddledome. You can’t help but stand and cheer as Calgary scores - GOAL!
OR choose to spend your afternoon dogsledding! Let your team of canine friends lead you through the snow covered wilderness on an Après-Ski Adventure with Banff Dogsledding. Work up an appetite for your evening meal in Canmore; choose from Canadian favourites like Buffalo, Rainbow Trout or Arctic Char.
Day 5 – Norquay or Sunshine
Now that you know for certain which hill fits you the best, take another full day to perfect those runs! Challenge yourself to the hardest double black diamond at the end of the day or descend early to explore more of Banff’s lively town.
Day 6 – Ski Lake Louise
Lake Louise is Alberta’s largest ski area, and, as such, ranks with the finest ski resorts in the world with its variety of nearly 100 runs, and thousands of acres of open bowl skiing!
Enjoy another evening exploring Banff’s vibrant nightlife.
Day 7 – Backcountry Skiing & Steak
You’ve had the chance to explore Banff’s surrounding resorts, today is your opportunity to escape the crowds and leave the lift lines behind. Guided backcountry skiing is an adventure not to be missed. Carve your fresh tracks into the newly fallen powder. The feeling is exhilarating as you glide effortlessly down the mountain.
This evening you have reservations at a famous Canadian steakhouse, the Keg. A Grade-A Alberta Steak is the perfect satisfaction after an exciting day of backcountry skiing. Save room for desert and hot chocolate!
Day 8 – Depart with Fond Memories
Much too soon, you leave the clean air and spectacular sights of the Rocky Mountains behind as your ski vacation comes to an end. Wind down through the foothills of the Rockies on your way to the airport for your flight home.
