ITINERARY
Day 1 – The Sea to Sky Highway - Vancouver to Whistler
Board your motor-coach for the scenic transfer along the picturesque Sea to Sky highway to Whistler.
Fresh Tracks has a huge range of hotels to choose from at every budget. We offer comfortable village hotels with all the basics, ski-in/ski-out properties offering maximum time on the slopes or Five Star resorts with every amenity possible to make your stay unforgettable.
Provide us with your details and standard of skiing in advance and we can minimize time spent in the rental shop by having your skis dialed and ready for you. Equipment can be exchanged anytime to suit the conditions of the day, and complimentary slope side storage means no carrying of gear is needed.
Day 2 & 3 – Fresh Tracks Breakfast - Exclusive Early Bird Slope Access
Beat the crowds and be one of the first to glide down the mountain! The Fresh Tracks early bird breakfast gives you unique access to Whistler Mountain following a full delicious breakfast.
The complimentary Whistler Blackcomb tours are hosted by friendly local volunteers who show you around, pass along useful information about the mountain and show you the best runs of the day.
Whistler Blackcomb features 8100 acres of terrain, over 200 trails, 3 glaciers, and 12 alpine bowls serviced by 37 lifts. 2008 welcomes the addition of a peak to peak gondola at Whistler Blackcomb. It has the worlds longest unsupported span and ensures the best views while you maximize time on both mountains by linking them in eleven minutes.
Day 4 – Ski Whistler on your Canada Vacation Package
Take advantage of the Peak 2 Peak gondola and spend the day mountain hopping from Whistler to Blackcomb. The gondola will allow you to explore the powder filled bowls of Whistler in the morning before heading to Blackcomb for some afternoon sun.
Whistler boasts restaurants from across the globe, so choosing between Sushi, Italian, Greek or a steak can be a challenge. Our restaurant guide is a good place to start, whether you want a pub to grab a pint or somewhere to dress up and enjoy fine dining.
Day 5 – Dogsledding on Vacations in Canada
Rest your ski legs today and learn to mush a team of huskies. Your team of canine friends will pull you through the towering old growth cedar forest, passing sparkling frozen streams to an igloo.
From here the you take an invigorating hike to Alexander Falls, the walk made easier by strapping on snowshoes. After your return to the igloo your dedicated team of dogs will carry you back through the Callaghan Valley.
This is a really memorable experience, with some great stories to share tonight over dinner.
Day 6 – Early Morning and Spectacular Runs on your Canada Vacation Package
The Fresh Tracks breakfast is a popular start to the day as skiers relish the chance to be one of the first group to make their tracks on newly fallen snow.
After a break from skiing you will be eager to get back on the runs once more and ski new found favorites or explore new areas. Whether you are looking for mellow cruisers or would like to know about the best hikes and backcountry lines in Whistler, give us a call and one of our locals can pass on their tips, just don’t tell everybody!
Day 7 – Moonlit Snowmobiling
Ski vacations in Canada are the ideal opportunity to perfect your skills. Give yourself one last challenge at that double black diamond run. Keep going on the hills or head down early for some apres-ski drinks and explore Whistler village.
Snowmobiles were invented in Canada and this is bound to be a memorable night of your Whistler ski package- the moon illuminates the trail on this guided snowmobile excursion into Fitzsimmons Creek Valley.
Day 8 – Explore new Whistler lines or Master the Terrain Park
One last early morning at Whistler’s Roundhouse for breakfast and your final opportunity to be one of the first down Whistler Mountain.
Ask your Fresh Tracks expert about instruction from a Whistler Pro to polish up your technique or take on a new challenge.
Group lessons provide the camaraderie and a fun atmosphere to hit the terrain park or rule those moguls.
Day 9 – Whistler & Fondue
Today on your Canada ski vacation, take the opportunity to chalk up any runs you haven’t tried yet or take a few last runs down your new favorites. When in need of a snack, warm up in Crystal Hut’s cozy log cabin where you can savor a Belgian Waffle.
Tonight we have included reservations at the Bavaria Restaurant for a 3 course Fondue dinner. The first course is a traditional Swiss cheese fondue which is followed by an Asian style hot broth served in a clay pot and the meal is finished by a decadent Belgian chocolate fondue.
Day 10 – Depart with Fond Memories
Much too soon, you leave the clean air and spectacular sights of Whistler behind as your Canada vacation package comes to an end.
