The town of Banff is a true mountain town and was developed for the sole purpose of hosting recreational visitors who want to experience the beauty of the Rockies. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back, whether you want to whoop it up with the cowboys or soothe your muscles in a world class spa, Banff delivers.

Banff is the heart of the Rockies and the perfect base to explore three of Canada's most famous ski resorts. Mount Norquay is renowned for those looking for Steep and Deep skiing but also offers terrain suitable for beginners. Sunshine Village offers spectacular views in the beautiful alpine ski area and an average annual snowfall of over 30 feet. Lake Louise, a stop on the world ski tour should be at the top of every avid skiers wish list and is the largest ski resort in the area.

All three areas can be skied on your lift pass and are easily accessed by the free coaches from Banff. Norquay is only ten minutes away, Sunshine is 25 minutes from Banff and Lake Louise 45 minutes away along one of the most picturesque drives in the Rockies.

"Where are you going Hans?"
No answer came.

'Headwall' was famed as one of the steepest runs at Sunshine Resort. Hans, the lead ski tour guide for the day, had already skipped over the edge.

Half our group followed, the other followed Bianca, our other guide, down a plush groomed run, untouched by anybody that day. "
